Water On The Moon by flot 2009

Water On the Moon
by Sam Flot - Dedicated to Gil Scott Heron

I got no job, they took my house
But there’s water on the moon
People dying every day
And there’s water on the moon
Swine flu in my city
Swine flu on my block
But there’s water on the moon
Unemployment’s just enough for me
Good thing I aint got kids
Doctor won’t see me
So I aint got that bill
And water’s on the moon
If I cant live on this earth
What good is water on the moon
We have a black man as president
And water on the moon
Country split in between very rich and very poor
All the Isms piled up on the White House door
If I can’t live here on this earth
If my rights don’t mean a thing
What good’s it gonna do me if there’s
water on the moon?
They bailed out the banks
And who bails me out?
But there’s water on the moon
Habitats and people can live there now
Cause there’s water on the moon
They stole my wallet on the street
Right here on the earth
They took my old laptop that had no worth
Laughed and ran then looked and cursed
Sure there might be water on the moon
But that wallet was as empty as ski slopes in June
I know now I will get by
Cause there’s water on the moon
I know each day I can survive
Cause there’s water on the moon
Got no health plan, no government cheese
But there’s water on the moon
I’m not sure when these wars will end
But there’s water on the moon
Got no job no money no food
But there’s water on the moon
Maybe I’ll just go start anew
Have it all and drink it too
Cause there’s water on the moon!
